Calling for Experienced Dancers

Calling for the Experienced Dancer is a totally different kettle of fish! John’s own dances, which have been published in twelve volumes to date, form the basis of a much more complex evening of dances, con- sisting of a variety of styles (from 17th Century through traditional dances to modern day dances) to suit the very different needs of this group of dancers.

In this capacity John is often invited to Folk Festivals, including Eastbourne, Sidmouth, Bedworth, Broadstairs, Casterton, Chippenham, Warwick, Whitby, Lichfield etc as well as many folk dance clubs throughout the country and abroad (he has called in France and Bel- gium).

As well as calling at these dances, John is also runs workshops on specialised dances draw- ing upon his vast experience, creativity and expertise to provide a stimulating and chal- lenging program for any given group of dancers. John’s reputation with this experienced school of dance has led him to be described as a ‘veritable modern day Dancing Master’ a title which he feels very proud of. He has also been called ‘The Pavarotti of Square Dance Callers’!!
